Maker Foundations
Fall 2014 Application

In September we are proud to admit a new cohort of youth into our Maker Foundations course at the Tech Center. This semester-long programs is focused on deepening interest in technology and better preparing participants for a future high tech career.

Maker Foundations is our entry level program. We accept youth in grades 6th through 10th grade into the program and work with them through high school graduation. NO experience is required, only a passion for technology and a willingness to commit time and energy to learning.


A sample of the types of things a youth will learn over the semester include:

  • 3D Design & Printing

  • Game Development

  • Web Development

  • Circuits & Electronics

  • Blogging

  • Podcasting

  • Personal Branding

  • Minecraft

  • Graphic Design

Youth participants will also utilize professional tools to build personal portfolios and grow their professional networks.

Maker Foundations will begin on Monday, September 29th and end Thursday, January 15th.

After applying, please check your email for an invitation to come to the Tech Center for an interview. Interviews are required for consideration for the program.

All programs will be held at the Digital Harbor Foundation Tech Center in Fed Hill are Pay-What-You-Can.

Applications will be accepted until September 15, 2014.
