Maker Foundations

Digital Harbor Foundation’s Maker Foundations program is an introductory course for middle and high school youth. Enjoy learning new skills and creating projects as an exploration of popular maker topics. In this program you will design and 3D print your own creations, learn to program games and make your own game artwork, make a website, create interactive electronics, and much more!

Anchor Night

All interested youth must attend our Maker Foundations Anchor Night to be considered for the program. During the Anchor Night, youth will be asked to participate in a hands-on challenge and will receive detailed information about the program. Parents are encouraged to attend.

  • Anchor Night is held at the DHF Tech Center located at 1045 Light Street Baltimore, MD 21230

Course Details

  • Grade Level: 6th-11th
  • Course Schedule:
    • 2 sessions per week
      • Cohort 1: Mondays + Wednesdays
      • Cohort 2: Tuesdays + Thursdays
    • 4pm-6pm
    • Doors Open at 3pm; Free Meal Served at 3:30pm

Steps to Join Maker Foundations

  1. Attend Anchor Night
  2. Accept the Invitation to Participate
    • After participating in an Anchor Night, you may be invited to the program
    • You will receive an email invitation and a phone call. You will need to accept the invitation.
  3. Register
    • Once you accept the invite to participate, you will need to formally register for the program online.
    • You will receive an email with instructions for registering.
