It’s the holiday season, but many Baltimore families are already planning (and worrying) about the Summer. While for many of us, Summer, like the holidays, is a favorite time of year, for low-income families, “Summer is the most unequal time in America.” Families struggle to find affordable programs for their children and low-income youth experience significantly more Summer learning loss than their affluent peers.

Last Summer, 199 youth attended DHF’s Summer Maker Camps, where they did everything from designing 3D Mars habitats to setting up their own computer servers. With your help, we’ll be able to serve 250 youth in 2019.
